Women Supporting Women

Expanding Access. Building Confidence. Creating Career Pathways.
Women Supporting Women is an inter-unit initiative of City College at Montana State University Billings. Our goal is simple and intentional: increase opportunity and visibility for women pursuing careers in trades, STEM, and other high-demand technical fields.
Through hands-on experiences, industry engagement, and career-connected programming, we create supportive environments where women can explore technical pathways, build practical skills, and connect with professionals working in the field.
We are strengthening workforce pipelines while expanding what feels possible.
Why This Work Matters
Across Montana and nationally, skilled trades and technical industries face workforce shortages. At the same time, women remain underrepresented in many of these fields.
Women Supporting Women bridges that gap by:
- Increasing awareness of nontraditional career pathways
- Providing beginner-friendly, hands-on exposure
- Connecting participants with industry professionals
- Building confidence in technical learning environments
- Supporting long-term workforce development in our region
This work supports individuals, employers, and our broader community.
