Youth Camps
City College at MSU Billings offers youth summer camps that introduce middle and high school students to hands-on learning, career exploration, and emerging fields. Camps are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and expose students to college environments through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.
Youth camps are offered periodically based on community interest, instructor availability, and program development. While no camps are currently scheduled, City College continues to explore new opportunities for future offerings.
About City College Youth Camps
City College youth camps focus on:
- Hands-on, experiential learning
- Exposure to technical, STEM, and workforce-related fields
- Building problem-solving, teamwork, and digital skills
- Introducing students to college facilities and learning environments
Camps are typically short-term, non-credit experiences and may include lab activities, demonstrations, and guided projects led by experienced instructors.
Explore Our Programs
STEM Cybersecurity Camp
An engaging week-long experience designed for high school learners interested in cybersecurity and information security. Participants explore foundational cybersecurity concepts, hands-on problem solving, and real-world digital defense techniques. This camp builds technical reasoning, collaborative problem solving, and confidence in navigating digital systems and security challenges.
Trade Up: Trades & Tech Summer Camp
A four-day, hands-on camp that introduces high school students to skilled trades and
technology career pathways. Students rotate through technical areas like welding,
automotive, construction, IT, and more while building real experience with tools,
equipment, and safety practices. Trade Up helps students explore high-demand, high-wage
fields and make informed decisions about future training and careers.
Upcoming: STEM Drone Camp
We’re planning a new hands-on camp focused on drone technologies, aerial systems, and STEM applications. Participants will learn basic flight principles, practice drone operation, explore aerospace applications, and develop problem-solving skills in a technical environment.
Funding is currently being secured. Details and registration information will be posted
when available.
