STEM Cybersecurity Summer Camp
The STEM Cybersecurity Summer Camp at MSU Billings provides middle school students with a hands-on introduction to cybersecurity, digital systems, and information security fundamentals. Through real activities and guided instruction, campers learn essential concepts and practical skills used in cybersecurity careers and technology fields.
The program is designed to encourage tomorrow’s thinkers, makers, and problem-solvers to build real skills through hands-on learning. Our camps spark curiosity, foster confidence, and introduce middle and high school students to exciting technical and STEM fields in a fun college setting.
About the Camp
Cybersecurity is one of the fastest-growing technical sectors, with demand for skilled professionals far exceeding supply. The STEM Cybersecurity Summer Camp is designed to introduce students to this critical field through interactive labs, problem-solving exercises, and collaborative learning experiences.
Students will:
- Explore core cybersecurity concepts
- Learn basic defensive and analytical techniques
- Practice ethical hacking fundamentals in a safe environment
- Build teamwork and critical-thinking skills
- Understand pathways into cybersecurity careers and education
No prior cybersecurity experience is required.

Eligibility: Students entering grades 5-9
Enrollment: Limited spots - advance registration required
Applied Cybersecurity
Dates: July 7 to July 9, 2026
Location: City College, MSU Billings
Eligibility: Students entering grades 5-9
Enrollment: Limited spots - advance registration required

Cost
Thanks to grant funding, the STEM Cybersecurity Summer Camp is offered to participants at $50 per class.
