Music Scholarship Audition
à±ßäÂþ» invites high school juniors and seniors, as well as transfer students to audition for placement and scholarships. Scholarships are available for students that declare music as their major and are awarded on the basis of merit and the recommendations of the music faculty. We recommend that scholarship auditions be scheduled throughout the year no later than the February 1st priority deadline before the academic year for which you intend to enroll. Please prepare two to three contrasting solos or etudes and every scale you can perform. To schedule an audition you may reach us in the following ways:

Jazz Band Audition
To register for MUSI 131-001 Jazz Ensemble I: MSUB (lower division students) or MUSI 331-001 Jazz Ensemble II: MSUB (upper division students), prepare to audition during the first class of each semester. Please review the audition requirements.
Athletic Band
Athletic Band performs at all home games (30 per season). The Athletic Band plays a blend of classic pop, funk, and rock music. Members of the Athletic Band are paid for each game they play.

Jacket Voices
Student club that performs vocal jazz, pop, and contemporary music. Performances include MSU Billings concerts, private events, local clubs, and regional jazz festivals.
National Association for Music Educators (NAfME)
National Association for Music Educators (NAfME) promotes dedication to excellence in music education as well as its continued inclusion as part of the core curriculum in schools across the United States.
Jazz Club
For promoting the performance and education of the many styles of Jazz in the University and community. Produces a jazz festival every February to showcase the college ensembles performing with national jazz artists.
Percussion Club
Percussion Club is a special interest organization the purpose of which is to promote percussion at MSU Billings and in the Billings community. Percussion Club is also the controlling organization for ASMSU Billings student funds used to promote percussion and supplemental educational activities that come under the category of percussion.
