3 Credits
This faculty-led study abroad trip would be with our partner institution, Intercultura, an intensive Spanish immersion school in Heredia, Costa Rica. Students willl take Spanish classes in the mornings and participate in cultural experiences in the afternoons/evenings. The program offers homestays for students, thus enabling them to practice their Spanish outside of the classroom and providing breakfasts and dinners with host families. Program excursions will include a visit to 5 mangnificent waterfalls and a wildlife refuge, a weekend at Samara Beach, and a jungle adventure with a zipline through the rainforest canopy. Heredia, known as The City of Flowers, is famous for its colonial charm, world-class coffee production, and as a hub for education and sustainability in Costa Rica.
